There are slats in the bottom for the babies to escape to, to keep from being eaten. The funnel tray is placed too high within the box. I will definitely buy these kind of breeder again. Undeniably the best seller I've encountered. I'll put the bag from the pet shop in it and cut it open. I put the rainbar into it so now they can't escape. It is almost silent.
I also has a lid with snaps in place and has 2 slotted circles for dropping food in. I can home one day and one was dead and all torn up from the sides. I gave 4 stars becauses the mesh gets algae ridden pretty easily and stained green. The suction cups hold well, and it has floating handle chambers as a backup.
