MAKE SURE YOU PUT WATER IN THE BACK OF THE FILTER! I checked and cleaned it and still just as loud. Therefore, you wouldnt have 2 filters running. The filter arrived within 2 days and was the exact same as Petsmart's. I DONT KNOW WHY MANY THINK THIS IS A NOISY FILTER. This filter comes with a sponge, activated carbon, and bio material in a mesh bag. This filter has is a very simple and efficient design.
