Becareful not to do this!
It finally broke after 10 years of use so I could justify buying a new one! They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. Ignore the orang plastic clip that attaches to a bucket. I do not write a ton of reviews but I HAVE to review this amazing time saver! It works great and was fairly inexpensive compared to other similar products. It kept coming off and made a mess on the floor. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I'm getting another for the fish tank at my Mom's house.

This item is wonderful.
I washed mine with mild dish soap and the small was gone. Works as advertised and was delivered faster than estimated. Most of the time I just took out half tank then top off with fresh water. I may still return this BUT I'm going to try once again. Aside from that, i am very happy with the product and would encourage you to get it! They have plenty of suction to clean an inch or so off the ground. I may still return this BUT I'm going to try once again.
