Barrier is like a plastic mesh screen that allows water to flow through. The female is on the larger side with her babies. I had an oddly aggressive Molly and this worked great for the time I needed to use. Overall this has done the job I've needed to. Simple fix.
I cam keep my 2 betta fish in the same tank now. I had an oddly aggressive Molly and this worked great for the time I needed to use. It worked well for me and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I did not receive suction cups but I had my own to it did what I was looking for. That was another battle trying to get those on. Product works great if you can figure out how to fit it into your fish tank. This product is one that I would be really sad to see disappear.
