Live rock is where much of the filtering goes on,. DO NOT USE SAND OR ANY OTHER SUBSTRATE OTHER THAN WHAT THEY GIVE YOU. I will definitely be purchasing a Landen tank for all future purchases. I've got two of these tanks, one at home and one at work. I immediately noticed that the glass moves slightly in the corners when pressed on. My other gripe would be with the lid. Nothing to complain about with this tank at all.
