Its pump apparentely was too small for the tank. You could use them for circulation pump or wave maker. Actually its a no maintenance pump. Sure one would work okay, but two are optimal and your fish will thank you for it. One the first few days the water was so cloudy I couldn't see the U. I have a 29 gallon Oceanic Nanocube and have always had poor water circulation. Just what I needed to fix my filter and avoid paying 200 bucks for a new one.
