I went ahead and used it without rinsing it, which was a mistake. If you can keep your tank clean, this is perfect for you. This sand is beautiful and incredibly soft! At that point rinse the sand a couple more times. I will need 3 more bags if I want a thicker 1 inch layer to fill my entire tank. I toss the cloudy water into the streets instead. Use the strongest, most focused nozzle you have.

It worked like a charm.
It looks great and it's super quality. The sand does look nice and comes to you clean, it'll only take a minute to wash. Dumped sand in bucket and let water overflow get rid of the floating stuff. Like I said earlier, it's like beach sand. But like everything else, you have to make choices and compromises. The grain size will range from fine to medium. Some will leave the tank when you get rid of unwanted plants too.
