If you're treating injured fins or introducing new fish, this is for you. Washed with hot water several times to get rid of it. These filters get the job done, but do plug up quickly when my water is that gross. I just change them when they get clogged. Got here on time, perfect packaging, rinsed easy and fit in my filters perfectly! 5 years now and I truly believe they help keep the humidifier and water cleaner. I really do need 1 that flows on its own.
